The Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus emerged out of the Pentecostal movement that began with the Azusa
Street revival in the city of Los Angeles in 1906. Juan Navarro, a participant of that revival, baptized Francisco Llorente in 1912,
who later was elected the first Bishop President of the Apostolic Assembly when it formed in 1925. The organization became a
California corporation on March 15, 1930.
Throughout the humble beginnings of the Apostolic Assembly, our tenacious yet caring leaders ministered primarily to the spiritual needs of a growing number of Spanish speaking people who flooded into this country looking for a better life for their families. Since then, we have made great strides in not only providing ministry to this Missionary generation and its subsequent generations, but we have broken the cultural barrier and have provided bilingual ministry to subsequent Boomer and Buster generations as well. We are confident that the Apostolic Assembly will continue to grow, in both financial strength and in membership in the years to come. Because the moral fabric of our society continues to weaken, the church stands willing to face the challenges of meeting the spiritual needs of hurting people around the world.
During its first eighty years of existence, the Apostolic Assembly has had 9 national leaders or "Bishop Presidents" as listed below, with corresponding terms in parenthesis:

La Asamblea Apostólica de la Fe de Cristo Jesús emergido del movimiento Pentecostés que comenzó con el avivamiento
en la calle Azusa en la ciudad de Los Ángeles en 1906. Juan Navarro, participante del avivamiento, bautizo a Francisco
Llorente en 1912, quien más adelante fue elegido el primer obispo presidente de la asamblea apostólica que fue
formado en 1925. La organización se convirtió en una corporación de California en el 15 de Marzo, 1930.
A través de los principios humildes de la Asamblea Apostólica, nuestros líderes tenaces pero aún comprensivos ministraron primeramente a las necesidades espirituales de un número creciente de personas de habla español que inundó este país buscando por una vida mejor para sus familias. Desde entonces, hemos hecho grandes pasos no solamente en proveer un ministerio a esta generación misionera y a sus generaciones subsecuentes, pero hemos roto la barrera cultural y hemos proveído el ministerio bilingüe a las generaciones subsecuentes también. Estamos seguros que la Asamblea Apostólica continuará creciendo, ambos en fuerza financiera y en calidad de miembro en los años porvenir. Porque la tela moral de nuestra sociedad continúa debilitándose, la iglesia está parada dispuesta a enfrentar a los desafíos de resolver las necesidades espirituales de la gente adolorido alrededor del mundo.
